Landscape Technician - Year-Round Employment

As a fast-growing company, Williams Creek is seeking high-drive individuals to fulfill multiple Landscape Technician positions. A college or technical degree is not required for the Landscape Technician position.

Position Available: Landscape Technician

Location: Based in Greater Indianapolis, projects within Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours per week: 40-50 hours per week, no weekends or holidays

Hourly Rate: Based on experience - overtime is paid at 1.5x hourly base rate / per diem

Landscape Technicians will assist Team Leaders / Crew Foreman in daily tasks required to complete project goals and objectives. Typical workday includes some, but not limited to, the following items:

·Light and heavy equipment operation

·Rough, finish and fine grading for seed bed preparation

·Installation of trees, shrubs, plugs and seeding relating to turf, prairies, wetlands and woodlands

·Mulch, stone and compost installation

·Sediment control device installation (silt fence, erosion control blanket, etc.)

·Invasive species management via mechanical and chemical application

·Native and invasive plant identification

·Green infrastructure (raingardens, BMPs, detention basins)

*This position is NOT a seasonal position, but year-round, full-time work, no layoffs*

Requirements

Individuals interested in this position must be able to work in adverse conditions (rain/heat/cold) and can carry items upwards of 50lbs. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The position will not require a college or technical degree but rather a passion to work and learn in outside environments. Traditional landscape, agriculture, and equipment operation skill sets typically align very well with this line of work.

Equipment Technician

The Equipment Technician will be responsible for providing support to ensure equipment services are provided in an effective and efficient manner, as well as being the secondary point of contact for the Facilities and Equipment Division.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Maintain and promote a safe, clean and efficient workplace for self and others

·Ensure the delivery of equipment management services are kept at a high standard with a specific focus of safety

·Perform standard preventive maintenance on all equipment owned and operated by WCMC

·Ability to troubleshoot and provide creative solutions to difficult situations in regard to equipment, vehicles, small engine and mobile service

·Complete administrative duties such as reporting and documenting service records and receipts

·Comply with all safety and health regulations

·Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors

·Maintain organized shop and outdoor facility space

·Attend to the grounds, maintaining a clean, well-kept appearance to entryways and outdoor areas

The Equipment Technician duties include but are not limited to these responsibilities. As this position is a newly developed position at Williams Creek, it will likely evolve over time through the needs of the company and two-way communication between company leadership and technician.

Qualifications

·Safety oriented and focused

·Not required but preferred OSHA training on the following fields, but not limited to; emergency planning, hazardous materials, PPE, first aid, fire protection, material handling and storage, welding, cutting, brazing, tools and equipment, motor vehicles and roll over protection for motorized equipment

·Organization (Internal and External)

·Ability to multi-task

·Industry knowledge and how it is applicable to the performed task

·General maintenance skills

·Analytical and problem-solving skills

·Attention to detail

·Knowledge of INDOT rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to commercial vehicles and trailers

·Knowledge of technology-based tools on efficient tracking and reporting for self and business

·Quality focus

·Ability to use good judgement

·Work in team environment

Corporate Administrator

The Corporate Administrator is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization.

Position Available: Corporate Administrator

Location: Plainfield, Indiana

Start Date: As soon as possible

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Vendor set-up

·Maintain vendor files and other related documents including W9

·Receive and process Accounts Payable invoices

·Monitor and post corporate credit and fuel card programs

·Retreive data for team members

·Ensure appropriate turnaround time on all data entry and data processing

·Provide accounting and clerical support to corporate services

·Prepare relevant reports as needed in a timely manner

·Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries

·Deliver mailings to post office when needed

·Answer phones and greet visitors

·General office cleanup/organization

·Special projects

Corporate Administrator duties include but are not limited to these responsibilities and may change at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications:

·High school diploma or equivalent

·Minimum 3 years accounting and data entry experience

·Proficient with Quickbooks

·Proficient with Microsoft Office

·Proficient with phone systems

·Time management and a high attention to detail

·Excellent organization (Internal and External) abilities

·Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

·Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors, and other team members

·Ability to recognize and capitalize on efficiencies during the process

·Ability to use good judgement

·Capable of working independently or in a team environment

Physical Requirements:

·Must pass pre-employment drug test

·Full background before first day
